Intazza Coffee Works

I recently enjoyed a breakfast outing with my girlfriend and a mutual friend of ours and her husband. Both women had previously dined at Intazza but us men had not.

Intazza is a newer restaurant in Murrieta, California. It’s located in an industrial complex just north of Temecula, off Sky Canyon Road (off Murrieta Hot Springs Road). It’s nestled at the end suite next to a youth center.

When you initially walk inside, you can’t help but to notice how airy and large it feels inside. There are plenty of windows so lots of natural light fills the restaurant. The counter is in the front and guests wait in lines to place orders. Although the line may seem long, it moves pretty quickly. Very hipster and upbeat atmosphere envelopes you along with the intense aromas of coffee.

Once you place your order, you’ll grab one of many seating options. There are large round tables for larger groups. Or you can choose a smaller square table for two. Throughout the building, you can find alternative seating choices that include bar-style, cushioned benches (outside patio), and upstairs tables.

One of the most notable features of Intazza is their large coffee roster in the far corner. It’s massive and noisy. As a guest, you’re able to walk up to the glass ‘fence’ and watch it in action.

Look up and you’ll notice an auger-type set-up, watching it churn and turn.

You can hear how loud the roaster is. My suggestion would be to sit farther away so you can enjoy your meal in a relatively quieter setting. We made the choice to sit right next to it – why?!

Soooo lemme tell you – the food was amazing! I loved that most of the food was served on these small composite cutting boards with wood and marble? Very chic and elegant.

Pesto, Gouda, Eggs, Sun-dried Tomato, Spinach

Gooey Mac and Cheese, Bacon, Green Onions, Fried Egg

Tater Tots, Cheddar & Cojita Cheese, Soyrizo, Jalapenos, Green Onions, Cilantro, Crema, Sriracha, Fried Egg

I had initially ordered a Murrieta Mule beverage but they were “out” of them? I’d like to get to try it sometime when it’s back in stock. Soooo instead, I ordered their “Bee’s Knees” latte made with local Temecula honey and ground cinnamon.

We spent about two hours during our visit. As stated earlier, they were roasting beans when we arrived and continued during our visit. Next time, we’ll be sure to sit farther away.

Great conversation and great coffee. Everyone at the table were raving about their coffee. The food was perfect. I can’t wait to go back and try more menu items!

An array of menu items! Notice the Avocado Toast in the upper area of the photo.

Have you been to Intazza yet? What was your favorite drink? Food?
